Boxes.

Did you know that our lives are summed up in just the one box?

You have lives - present, obviously a past, and tentatively, a future. And these are all fitting, whether fully descriptive of you, ideally, in just one box.

In this timeline, you can organise your many facets - if you’ve to be likened to a gem - to be treatised into the many aspects that people see you as having functioned as a daughter, sibling, girlfriend, mother, ice-skating champion, real estate scion, failed laundromat expert, business mogul, ironing master, star editor of several iconic underground magazines, brilliant designer, genius creed-changing nun, opinion piece editor of a swiss-based economic small press. There are loads of you that existed - but none are known, because they don’t fit the box into which you need to launch into the ether, or be kept for others to find.

When you move from one place to another, as is the primary dilemma of most migratory people, whether they are economic - job-based migrations, or as with representation-abroad migrations (as is on a role obtained into political office, with ambassadors or expatriated consuls of a territory), or lifestyle - finding a place to ideally live in with other than income-based judgements in its capacity for answers in its state of being. Other than your livelihood experiences, as well as things you care to impart to people - and the more you give away the lighter your box becomes in time. But, let’s say that the considerations were to permanently put you at a capacity for mobility - wouldn’t you hold more possession to your portability, rather than your penmanship and curation of a place more permanently held? If you can sort out your life - and this is a challenge to everyone, how do you exactly find yourself aligning to that to which your heart beats for - and what your internal interests correctly lies in? Imagining the demands of a life that accuracy requests - the fact that your space only entitles you to four equal sides in three-dimensional existence to exit the excesses of lives that you had lived - to say, goodbye to the past in favour of the future? The exchanges to the prerequisite to this minimalist life, is what teh non-curation would examine, and rely upon to its very endurance. The intimacy of teh question: “What else would you put in that box?” puts you to examine a very tight schedule to your parallel to others timeline on earth, a very considerate sustainability, that in future would connect you more efficiently to others’ very existence in life, and prolong the lives of others. The choices of which will put long-term liability on hand. Not just, (but it’s a good start to examine from) a very glib what IS inside your BAG today? - a relevant factor to every box, is to find out if that which your daily bag could contain as well.

The real affectation of the gender wars: BOX (for the boys), and BAG (for the girls), where we have our psyche premonition by a life that is not eternal (we are very aware), but do we launch that premise inside our daily necessities, the BAG, or a far-reaching futuristic me that becomes weather-proof and probably portable even when structures fail, the BOX.

So what happens when you have more than one box to live in?
Do you :

(box here): connect on networks mainly for a “social life”?
(box here): iCloud the rest?
(box here): make sure to manage the repertoire of favourites on rota?
(box here): be more selective. & try to fit it in just the one box.

(So, since there is no polling format in Markdown at the time of publish, i will reiterate with an image) - until then, please reserve all in the comments section - or email me (kristin@thesocialthink.mobi) your response, and i can publish it in the next entry.

A lot of us have trouble taking the paring down, but also what’s harder is the daily instance of the no-limits limit, that takes you to the from nothing i need to prove myself to be able to scale the heights that ancestors hadn’t achieved, but only to become the very thing that everyone else considers hobo/ hippie/ nomadic/ roma, because we realise that our real psyche does not lie in the immediate possession of material, or a collection of these - but in the existential oblivion that we feed with our continuous clamouring for the lack of basic necessities - like, how many ferraris do you need in your garage to feel whole exactly? - in the collaboration with agencies, that are internal and collectively central to our very being.

We collaborate with our daily balance of needing, wanting, and acquiring -with the rest of the world’s mad production for a country(man)‘s deficits, and actual collection of what they own as a reflection or representative to who they are - and what they represent, rather than on what they can be, to hold their own - unto others. This definition is what takes up time, and what people’s lives had been about - and if you contribute to this, we will find ourselves with very significant boxes we can be proud of - at the end of the day. With a broad definition, we get to understand what these represent to us, and collaborate with everyone’s definitions, will simplify the higher expectations, but also pull people’s very limited views of themselves, a little bit on higher ground. Wherever they could be from, or whatever mauling they’ve done to their present, we realise we actually hold our own, and others’ to our repute’s responsibility for a very real, and a very shared future.

So, consider it carefully: what is in your box?
