Sampling coffee.

I had started out a post in 2014 when a seriously interesting platform called medium.com had caught my interest with the tech that it had with the front-end cms: /nerd for a site’s publishing system/. And this started what then was a primarily obsessive on culture quasi-Coffee blog. (Entry: The Yellow Coffee Cuppeth Over 3Apr2014, to be precise while partaking of coffee at a café called Smitten. The picture was taken at Oriole, a more classic café near the Hub, a workspace i used to stay in since 2012.)

Coffee: morning, noon, afternoon pick-me-up drink. Imbibed by writers for its flavour, and substantial caffeine content then used to help waken the senses, and mostly helps wrack their brains for deadlines, ideas, crucial award-winning work, and such.

But, as a writer’s medium, it came hand-in-hand to consume coffee, and be consumed by the act of writing. This is precisely what had happened, and after finishing what looked like the run of the country’s supply of java, i had quieted the essence of the blog into a more sedate and focussed one on what the new platform had evolved to be and entrepreneurial blog.

It still had the definitions of a vagabond going from coffee to coffee, but more distilled into what other people were into: design, arty, and workspace-evaluated.

Words had been enough.

The simple formats drew me into ease of documentation, affording the time-crunch for other pursuits, and being more organised with the speed of thought rather than as an after-thought, as i had digressed far too wide, and now too long, into areas in which became a little more daunt, than deed - which is always bad for centred focussing, when we need something done immediately. This never happens, the immediacy of which is more crucial at point to point, accomplishing schedules, rather than achieving elegance.

Finding solace in simplicity, is why we organise things. And expend energy into higher forms and organisations. All the phyla-dictums of different species that’s classified by library scientists and now morphed into tech-enabled data management, the classic becomes known in the medium to transform the card-file-cataloguing into modern, more upload-friendly chip-catalogue for the upkeep. Dusting off the microfiches (chips used to store newspaper/ more currently published material on the daily / bi-weekly), and now enabling access to the students of the next few generations.

The way we enable ourselves with our own systems, and classifications, are why we have been able to exist as far and as long as we can imagine, or have remembered. If your parents weren’t able to manage this, it is not too late to get in a system of your own making - just from the (more than free) knowledge that is available at any point of reading-or-access that are available today.

Perhaps the next-stalemate types of tech around are the ones that we look out for the kind of data that exists in the future, file-type-storage dictates the types of read-access-memory players that we are able to develop.

Maybe i should get a dicta-dragon-phone. Or the Catch app.
(Done that.)
