whoa, pause.. rewind. record. play. ¡edit! play. delete. install..?

These are verbs we sometimes want to apply to life itself.

I hate to tell you - that’s not gonna happen. And it’s going to stay in your mind, and maybe in your brilliant script-writing spec, that hollywood might or might not produce - to help ease others’ delineate real stuff that CAN happen, to those that will never happen.

When we need to illustrate this fully, sometimes i am led to believe it may actually be the exact retrieval of consciousness that pushes us to (re)consider marks to imbibe the zero, default versions to stages /1/ birth, /2/ school /3/ marriage /4/ etc, in your daily/ weekly/ annual timelines. And actually enact to progressively commit to producing actual edited and fully formed pages of standardised material fit to be read, by the subscribing public.

The generations are going to have trouble winding down from media, and hype, because - the ground zero - or set...

It’s simple.

“Just figure out what you want, and do it.”

Is my line.

And i realise that unlike the effects on the environment, social dynamic’s impact has reversibility. (As my friend had written to me in a message the other day, in the café).

Pretty understandable.

And often, we become increasingly suspicious of anything that’s simple. Like having eggs for breakfast, or dinner. Reliable, predictable, simple. And yet, we are suspiciously wanting more.

So how dare the people in my network be so catching, and become actually a lot smarter than me? Or actually mirrored in my thoughts, and them in my actual-real-time-social-encompassing sleight of reading encountered, in mine?

Why would she dissect what i had to say, in terms that weren’t in an organised direct, convertible to credit conversation? Like, how having tea or a catch-up results in your network all of a sudden knowing about your BBQ...

i do.

Finding a life in your golden age, can actually be existentially relieving. I have just come from attending a location-wedding, literally at sunset - the ceremony was at 5pm. And the groom and bride were in their 50’s.

It was rather emotional.

Afterwards, we went to the beach to retreat to some R&R’s, and found some time to lay around on the beaches, sands, and some pool-side, spa, hotels, in-room dining, and morning buffet action. A blissful 9-day retreat. A wedding slash holiday.

Serenely, the roles of man and wife have long been questioned - and when accosted with its real-time implications, i feel it was timely to find it in myself to believe that the “i do’s” actually meant something, in the long run.

The ceremony of marriage had been traditionally a formalisation of two people’s engagement, and whether that was a result of : 1/ a really long engagement, spanning at least 2...

Freshman Tens. (Or what is, the anatomy of someone dealing with change.)

When the going gets tough, students usually turn to thoughts of….
food?

And if that was your family’s way of coping with the rough, i think you may need a bigger kitchen in place. Whether that belied your actually biographical history to gain that Freshie Weight of a probably-historically-accurate ten pounds or having gained it to amortise the massive amounts of energy your body needs to consume to get you from building to building, class to class, hall to hall, i think it makes a lot of sense.

The number of changes are numerous in our average lifespan of 60-70 years.

I could account for these having grown up to almost three-quarters’ worth in my lifetime. I could think of Seven (or a projection of Nine, in theory), and probably more to come in the next 30 years still. Not sure i want to see that oncoming, unless it was promised to be any fun, that is.

1/ First: Kindergarten. &amp...

Secrets are only meant for Santas.

What’s with the world wanting to keep secrets?

Shhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Why is that such a valuable thing to everyone?

I said, SHHHHHHHHHH!

Here to un-daunt myself in the underworld that goes to any length into “keeping their secrets”, i am assessing the need for this in 22nd century living. *Do i really want my kids, or future kids, to have their lives threatened by a bunch of goons who think they’re important enough to be manipulating things - or ceasing lives as they were - just to protect a secret that no one really gives a flying f*ck about?* (I mean, fudge.)

I think not.

But, it’s a wonder there’s not a committee in sight to take these out. It’s like blastocysts of cancer cells to society.

But with underpants.

And underdog values - because, the “really rich” don’t really need to hide anymore. And who cares? When someone can crush a site and make millions now?

Those moats in...

the chaos theory of now: what is god for anyway?

“When things go wrong, as it sometimes will (economists’ theory), or do (poets’ view), shouldn’t we just run for the hills?” This, is actually, an Invictus poem line gone wrong, (physicist’s law).

Sometimes, when we think things have become maligned and obtuse - or just not to our liking, we find that echoes of order in the universe have organised itself to put your end to right.

And we don’t know what that computational grid looks like.
(Not even in the slightest, our knowledge haven’t a minute idea of a fog.)

I don’t believe there are circumstances that do enjoy the stock options that go with the task of developing the antidote to the social chaos that has been summoned by more than a decade of embroiling people’s lives in a network that connected more than the average number of people engaged at one point in time, in a tiny space, but in the expanse of more than 12M lives.

Three P’s. (And what soup for the sole we can make with them.)

So you went shopping, and needed a coffee. And ended up writing an article. Isn’t this how all blogs get started.

Or ideas?

Or pieces of contributory articles.

Or scribbled a formula, that changed the face of financial grids.

Or fine-dining-ware, designed by bored flaneurs who are rarely interested in being stressed out?

Pace.

Being out of our league, is the new friction for growth. There had been insights into how dodge-howser-ing ourselves into a higher plane - or grade - or section that we weren’t really qualified or tested into, like if i actually qualified for Harvard with my 1250 SATs - would seriously catapult me into the pool i need to wade in, instead of being incomprehensibly depressed and wondering why i don’t really fit in to certain workplaces.

Maybe there is a sense in the argument of having actually been qualified, and just losing passport to actual flight?

Polar...

Right round on Cherry, in a radius of Pi.

So, right. Here we are, January.

After all the Holimerrymaking, on what i call Cherry Avenue - this place i used to live nearby to - that had a Thai-Burger-Bar eating place, that was in the neighbourhood - like, literally just a strip of places you can buy simple food from that were run by the local residents, had me associating this place with simple, post-Holiday formality grub. And after pinging the Peugeot several times on the sharp curb, narrow parking spaces, and the 15 minutes to get there, we keep the memory of the snails and linguine meals that filled us up for a life lived funnily, in equatorial Asia. (It’s no longer there.)

I am guessing the very definition of merry-making has to do with all the traditional church-and-round-of-partying-and-fancy-dinners that most people holding on to their traditional hats have looked forward to all year. And as it was in the “yesteryears”...

Sampling coffee.

I had started out a post in 2014 when a seriously interesting platform called medium.com had caught my interest with the tech that it had with the front-end cms: /nerd for a site’s publishing system/. And this started what then was a primarily obsessive on culture quasi-Coffee blog. (Entry: The Yellow Coffee Cuppeth Over 3Apr2014, to be precise while partaking of coffee at a café called Smitten. The picture was taken at Oriole, a more classic café near the Hub, a workspace i used to stay in since 2012.)

Coffee: morning, noon, afternoon pick-me-up drink. Imbibed by writers for its flavour, and substantial caffeine content then used to help waken the senses, and mostly helps wrack their brains for deadlines, ideas, crucial award-winning work, and such.

But, as a writer’s medium, it came hand-in-hand to consume coffee, and be consumed by the act of writing. This is precisely what had...

The golden (boyfriend : phone) ratio.

Pop quiz, hot shot.
Q: where do social limits lie in technology these days?
A: no limit. nada. nyet. nein. (etc, etc.)

Or what is exploring the implications of the social protocol of a phone call.

The nineties had seen all the breakfast club phone-starved but no-less-social teenager communicating way past the 1-hour per day allotment to use the phone when homework was done, burnt and digested for the next school day - with a rotary to digital sensibility, using calling devices/ pay-phones as students, way before touch-interfaces were even conceived in their makers’ brains.

The noughties’ (2000-2010’s) caught turn-of-the-millenia tech store hauls which affirmed that the market had allowed a distinct one-relationship per phone. Before sim cards even came around to fulfil the need for privacy (defined as not having people eavesdrop on your voice call at the bar, or to “need to take...
